This series is a textile-based exploration of found form – that is the colors, shapes, sizes, textures and nuances of used clothing.  Each of the seventeen compositions is based on a visit to one particular Guy’s Frenchys used clothing outlet in Maritime Canada.  The compositions evolve from the material and the limitations therein, as there is no way to predict or plan for what might be available in any store on any given day.  The title I have chosen refers to “suture – to stitch together with intention”.
